Reba Meyers Discusses Touring With Marilyn Manson

Reba Meyers recently spoke with TRIBLive about her experience touring with Marilyn Manson as his live guitarist and the process of learning someone else’s music.
She explained that after a single jam session with the band, she was offered the role. She goes on to comment that they got her vibe, it just clicked and gained her a new confidence. She described performing with Marilyn Manson as a hugely positive experience, highlighting the respect, support, and encouragement she’s received to be herself.
Reba also touched on the powerful connection with fans:
“people are just so happy to have this energy back. It’s a place where they can be weird, really weird, and free in all ways, free sexually, free gender wise, people are comfortable there. I think that’s really (expletive) awesome. It makes me feel more comfortable, makes me be able to be myself more.”
For her, the experience represents something larger:
“For me it’s about redemption, and I’ve seen that with the crowd. The more important part to me is how people are receiving it, and I can see that it’s empowering people to be better, which is incredible. It’s rare.”
When asked about her favorite song to perform live, Reba named “As Sick As the Secrets Within,” noting that its message feels especially relevant to Marilyn Manson at this moment.
