Marilyn Manson faced a set of serious allegations in 2021 which lead to several court cases and him being investigated.
One person, Ashley Morgan Smithline later recanted her allegations against Marilyn Manson and dismissed her court cases and revealed that Evan Rachel Wood and Illma Gore had pressured Smithline into making false allegations and posting them online.
Further exposure of recruitment of people and creation of false allegations came out which are documented in detail on Instagram page @STANDBYYOURMANSON
The investigation into Marilyn Manson went on for 4 years, however the LADA announced that the investigation is now over and Marilyn Manson is cleared and will face no charges. the full statement can be read HERE.
The LADA’s statement summarized that the allegations fall out of the statute of limitations and there was not enough evidence obtained during their 4 year long investigation.
Throughout the court cases there has been a common theme where they are lacking in evidence, changing allegations and stories. The instagram page @THEMANSONCASES documents all the court papers and updates in detail.
Marilyn Manson has always maintained his innocence and cooperated fully with all investigations.
Howard King, Marilyn Manson's attorney made the following statements through Page Six,
“We are very pleased that, after a thorough and incredibly lengthy review of all of the actual evidence, the District Attorney has concluded what we knew and expressed from the start – Brian Warner is innocent.”
“We believe that the actual assistant attorneys who have been investigating this for years had reached a conclusion that this was not a prosecutable case but the prior district attorney [George Gascón] was not willing to incur the political damage by saying that,” King explains exclusively to Page Six.
“We do think that a fresh district attorney was able to look at the workup of the case and without the political threat make an honest determination. This should have been a no-brainer three years ago.”
A source also reported the following to Page Six,
“‘A source added exclusively to us that the rocker feels like ‘a two ton weight has been taken off his back.’
‘He’s faced the threat of criminal prosecution year after year, booking shows not knowing whether he’d legally be able to go to them,’ the insider further explained of Manson’s mindset.
‘It’s just a huge weight off him, it’s a sense of vindication of everything he’s been saying that these women have various motives having nothing to do with them being attacked and everything to do with them getting either money or personal fame.’”
A source also told TMZ,
“11:26 AM PT -- A source close to Marilyn Manson tells TMZ ... The D.A. reviewed sworn testimony of witnesses and claimants that contradicted the claims they made. Including Smithline who sued and was interviewed by the press over her claims, only to later swear under oath that the claims were false and she was manipulated by Evan Rachel Wood into making false claims. And the sworn testimony of Ashley Walters that flatly contradicted both her claims and claims of Esme Bianco. And the latest claims by a claimant who never met Brian.”
